The modification comes 7 days after the promo initially exposed the complete battle card bout order throughout the UFC 299 primary card broadcast March 9. The preliminary order had Nickal (5-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) vs. Brundage (10-5 MMA, 4-4 UFC) above Oliveira (34-9 MMA, 22-9 UFC) vs. Tsarukyan (21-3 MMA, 8-2 UFC), which triggered much conversation and dispute amongst fans.
Brundage took the increase of online messages in stride, as he tweeted “Y’ all mom f * ckers understand I simply work here, right?” Nickal voiced self-confidence in the positioning by stating his existence increases pay-per-view buys.
