The Chiefs used the franchise tag to the 27-year-old, which ensures him a $19.8 million wage for the 2024 season if he signs the tender. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported the ruling Super Bowl champs “are open to skilled a trade off it if no long-lasting offer is reached.”

With $22.4 million in wage cap area, the Colts have adequate versatility to include Sneed at his present cap figure, though a multiyear offer– one that might reduce his 2024 income– would probably accompany any trade.

Indianapolis offered Kenny Moore II a 3 year, $30 million agreement to extend his stay with the group and strengthen among its 2 cornerback areas.

In Sneed, the group would be getting a clear upgrade over Dallis Flowers on the other side of the field. He’s coming off a year in which he completed with 78 takes on, 2 interceptions and 14 passes safeguarded.

Based upon Schefter’s report, any idea of him signing up with the Colts was early, however, leaving one to question whether the franchise was utilized as a stalking horse to enhance his utilize over the Chiefs.
