Daniel Cormier rips fan ridiculing Jordan Burroughs after Olympic trials loss: ‘What a piece of garbage’

UFC Hall of Famer and two-time Olympic wrestler Daniel Cormier has no time at all for rude fans.

On Friday, Olympic gold medalist Jordan Burroughs was removed from the United States group trials in what might be the last match of his profession, being up to Jason Nolf in the semifinals at 74kg. Later, as Burroughs left the arena, a fan began ridiculing him while screaming, “Career is over,” which resulted in the Nebraska alum reversing and shouting back, “What have you done?”

None of that agreed with Cormier, who required to social networks to release on the rowdy fan screaming at Burroughs after what was certainly among the most difficult minutes of his profession.

“What a piece of garbage this guy is,” Cormier composed on Twitter. “To scream go home to a guy who’s represented our nation properly for 13 years, 7 World or Olympic titles is outrageous. This is why Arman [Tsarukyan] punched that fan. Individuals act without any effect.

“This man potentially battled last match of his profession and this is what you provide him? I enjoy how manning leapt to his guys defense. In some cases I am so lost in the method individuals act. It’s mind boggling. J.B., you’re still the guy. Time gets all of us. Jason Nolf is a canine!”

Burroughs, 35, most likely decreases as one of the best American wrestlers in history, with a long list of distinctions on his résumé. He’s now stopped working to make the previous 2 Olympic groups, with a loss to Kyle Dake in 2020 and then falling to Nolf ahead of the 2024 video games.

In his post attending to the event, Cormier referenced a various run-in at UFC 300 where light-weight competitor Arman Tsarukyan got physical with a fan in the crowd throughout the walkout for his battle with Charles Oliveira.

Tsarukyan described that a fan turned him the middle finger and got a little too close for convenience as he was strolling to the cage, so he reacted.

“He revealed me, ‘F *** you,’ and he wished to punch me and I wished to punch him back,” Tsarukyan stated at the UFC 300 post-fight interview. “That’s it. Guys, no one reveal me, ‘F *** you.’ It does not matter who you are, I’m going to punch you in the face. You can reveal me ‘F ***’ from like 200 meters, I’m not going to punch you.

“But when you’re close to me, it’s, like instantly. I’m from Russia. Do not do that, please, or I’m going to go to jail in U.S.”
