Former President Donald Trump revealed that he was backing Pennsylvania Republican Senate prospect David McCormick, who is running versus incumbent Sen. Bob Casey (D-PA).
Trump’s recommendation of McCormick came throughout a political rally in Schnecksville on Saturday night.
“I am formally providing my recommendation to David McCormick tonight,” Trump informed the crowd. “He’s a great male. He wishes to run an excellent ship. He’s a wise guy who was a really effective guy.”
McCormick was born in Washington, Pennsylvania, and raised in Bloomsburg. He wound up finishing from West Point, went on to serve in the 82nd Airborne Division, and was served in the Middle East throughout the First Gulf War, according to his project site.

In 2005, McCormick was chosen and acted as the Under Secretary of Treasury under previous President George W. Bush’s administration. McCormick likewise functioned as the Deputy National Security Advisor throughout the Bush administration.

“He’s quit a lot to do this, and I’ll inform you what, he’s the candidate of the Republican Party,” Trump included. “David McCormick, head out and choose him, due to the fact that Casey does not do a damn thing I’ll inform you. He does not do a thing.”

Trump’s recommendation of McCormick follows he formerly backed star physician Mehmet Oz in the Republican primary for Senate in 2022. In a congested Republican main, Oz made 419, 999 votes, or 31.2 percent of the votes, while McCormick can be found in 2nd with 419, 048 votes, or 31.1 percent of the votes, according to CNN.
Oz went on to deal with then-candidate, Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) in the November 2022. Fetterman beat Oz, making 2,751,012 votes, or 51.2 percent of the vote, while Oz got 2,487,260 votes, or 46.3 percent of the vote.
