Iestyn Harrett outruns Kristian Hogenhaug to Challenge Gran Canaria triumph

In a thrilling race that went totally upside down throughout the run, Iestyn Harrett provided maybe his finest efficiency as an expert athlete. After a spectacular battle with Kristian Hogenhaug, the Briton simply won Challenge Gran Canaria.

The swim in the Atlantic Ocean did not right away produce huge distinctions: a minimum of not amongst the males at the front of the race. It was Italian Fabian Alejandro who was initially back on the beach after 23:23 minutes, instantly followed by Casimir Moine, Luke Pollard, Tom Vaelen, Iestyn Harrett, Ugarte Ramos Mikel, Alex Woodman, Jack Hutchens, Dries Matthys and Kristian Hogenhaug, to name a few.

On the bike, nevertheless, one guy was supreme which was Hogenhaug. The previous World Champion Long Distance rode extremely strong and rode far from whatever and everybody. In the closing phases Harrett did not break any longer; although his lead over Hogenhaug did not get much larger, it was sufficient to claim success. He did so in a time of 3:44:54. Hogenhaug was 2nd in 3:45:29 and Ramos Mikel 3rd in 3:46:26.
