Post-war, his existing objective is a bit up in the air. As the titular “sympathizer,” he informs communist Vietnam that he’s made it securely to America. It’s unclean and plagued with insects, and the American food is making everybody ill. “Looking excellent in your American clothing,” the General informs the refugees as he strolls into the lunchroom. He’s unconcerned to their animosity and paranoid that a spy is out to assassinate him– quickly making the General the funniest character on the program up until now. The refugees toss their microwave mac and cheese and chase him into a revolting outhouse. Arkansas is just a short-lived resting location till they can move out west to settle in California, which is why the Captain is composing from his newest stop in Texas.
