UnitedHealth states Change Healthcare hacked by country state, as drug store interruptions drag out
U.S. medical insurance giant UnitedHealth Group (UHG) stated Thursday in a filing with federal government regulators that its subsidiary Change Healthcare was jeopardized, likely by government-backed hackers.
In a filing Thursday, UHG blamed the continuous cybersecurity occurrence impacting Change Healthcare on believed nation-state hackers however stated it had no timeframe for when its systems would be back online.
UHG did not associate the cyberattack to a particular country or federal government, or mention what proof it needed to support its claim.
